Bicycle Tour Cortes Island 
A great way to explore Cortes is by bicycle. A scenic 30 minute boat ride takes you to Manson’s Landing & the provincial park. From here explore south to Smelt Bay, check out the shops in downtown Manson’s, swim in Hague Lake, or ride some trails. In fact, there are many diversions on Cortes, but be sure to pedal your way to the Whaletown ferry landing in time for the last ferry back to Heriot Bay (5:50 pm)! (Manson’s Landing is a very leisurely 2 hour bike ride to the Whaletown Ferry, based on the shortest route)

Manson’s Landing Provincial Park, Cortes Island 
This beautiful park offers a great day of exploration. There is a huge saltwater lagoon abundant with marine life and a sandy beach. There is also fresh water swimming at Hague Lake (also with a sandy beach!). A forested one km trail connects the lake with the ocean. Explore beyond the park to the small village centre of Manson’s for food, books, coffee, and more. Feel free to bring bikes, kayaks or a canoe along for your adventurous day.

Teakerne Arm & Cassel Falls, West Redonda Island 
Visit remote Teakerne Arm Provincial Park on West Redonda Island. The park protects Cassel Falls, a spectacular waterfall which cascades directly into the ocean. There is a 1 km walking trail to Cassel Lake, with a great view of the falls along the way. Bring a picnic, your bathing suit & enjoy a swim in the lake.
$115 pp; 2 hour boat tour/1-2 hours on land.
Gorge Harbour Petroglyphs, Cortes Island
The very narrow entrance to Gorge Harbour is home to ancient petroglyphs, a truly historic site on the BC coast. This one hour tour passes Subtle Island, Whaletown, Shark Spit and the Guide Islets as well as taking a peak into Gorge Harbour.
$49 pp; 1 hour tour.
Working Tour: Outer Discovery Islands
Hop on and go for a tour of the outer Discovery Islands on this scheduled run. Freight deliveries of anything from flowers to fridges, and groceries to pets are what to expect. You never know what will be delivered where: the destination varies, but chances are good that Stuart Island area is on the manifest.
$90 pp; noon departure, Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays.
Surge Narrows, Read Island
have you ever mailed a letter from a floating post office? This one hour tour cruises through the Breton Islands, past the old wood trellis at Conville Bay, and stops at Surge Narrows on Read Island. Mail a letter from the historic Post Office, and cruise back to the bay!.
